Amazes me that nobody has mentioned this here. Been getting the same message for a week:

We are currently experiencing a technical issue and some of our services for International Flight bookings are unavailable.

For assistance with International Flight bookings, please contact our Membership Contact Centre during the hours 8am-8pm Monday to Friday (Sydney time) on the numbers below:

My corporate TA has booked me on VA to LAX. I can see the booking on Check My Trip.com, but the Virgin website wont recognise my booking no.

Is this related to the booking tool being down?

No, I think that's a separate but equally annoying issue that's been going on for a while now. Checkmytrip is your best bet to view VA long haul bookings.

Can't wait for the transition to Sabre... there are so many booking/check-in limitations currently that it makes them look like amateurs.

Wow .. I called about this last week and was told that IT were working on it and to try again in 24 hours -- my leave got cancelled so I never followed it up. That's an insanely long time for the long-haul award booking tool to be down :(
