I saw availability in Sep/Oct/Nov. A little more $ for Fri/Sat/Sun flights....Some routings require overnights....more miles certainly look possible with these....

Best I see from DFW or STL is DFW/STL-ATL-NRT-ICN and return for $847/$827 RT AI, 5.1 cpm in both cases. Similar from MIA. No matter what I try, adding stops doesn't lower the cpm (though it is keeping it the same). Wonder if AA will match from the DL hubs? And good that DL still views STL as an AA hub :D.

Might be a tad high for a pure mileage run, but is notably cheaper than typical fares to Asia from STL. The timing of this fare was perfect for me since I was looking at a trip from STL to Seoul in November anyhow - while not a great MR, it's a pretty solid vacation fare.

I booked STL-DTW-ICN-NRT-DTW-STL for 11/10 to 11/21. I should note that JFK and ATL were also valid connecting points on the return for only a few bucks more, but I selected DTW because the arrival time in STL was better for me. I added the NRT stop primarily because I preferred to leave ICN in the late morning rather than early evening.

Booked MIA-DTW-ICN on 11/7 returning 11/15-16 ICN-DTW-LGA-MIA for $805 ai.

16060 miles according to Delta. Nice little vacation/mileage run

Well, I was in ICN the airport changing planes earlier this year, but don't think that counts :(

Yes, but there are many, many worse airports to have to change planes. In fact, I'd argue EVERY other airport is technically worse, even if ever so slightly for some :D.
