Dear Community,
i consider to have a long stay (2 weeks) at the Hilton in Barcelona...
Looking at Hotwire and Priceline, there were two 5* Hotels which were the Melia and the Hilton.
Will i get the Gold Benefits (Executive Lounge) when booking via Priceline or Hotwire?
[I just dont need the stay credit, only the benefits for the executive lounge)
What do you think ?!

I would say it is extremely unlikely you'll get the access to the lounge even with a simple paid through Hilton. For such a long stay they will unlikely to upgrade you to the executive floor (there is only one floor with not many rooms). As Gold all you will get is breakfast (which is very good btw), but no lounge access.

If you are gold you won't get the access to the Lounge, unless you are upgraded to the exec floor and as another poster stated it is unlikely for that long of a period.
I would look at if you will use the free breakfast and the internet. If the value of those are more than the price difference would be on priceline, I would book with Hilton. Not only will you be assured of the benefits, but if you have to cancel or modify the reservation for some reason it will be impossible with priceline. And even though you don't need the credit, the points on that long of a stay will be nice, especially if that Hilton didn't opt out of the promo.
If you don't need the breakfast or free wifi and you know for sure your plans won't change, just use priceline.

Lounge access for Gold is only if you get upgraded to the executive floor.

the bolding is mine. It looks like no benefits for any booking through Priceline type site if you use the bidding method.
This is in on the Hiton webpage.
Eligible Rate stays are stays at all rates except wholesale/tour operator packages, contracted airline crew rates, travel agency discount rates, packages exclusively for Las Vegas Hilton casino player card holders, Team Member Travel rates, Hilton Family Travel Rates, Reward Stays, stays secured utilizing Hilton Grand Vacations Club and Hilton Club timeshare programs, Hilton Grand Vacations marketing packages with a sales presentation requirement, complimentary or barter rooms, stays on NET Group, Series Group or IT Group rates, contracted Entertainment or Encore rates and stays using airline percent-off award certificates. Stays that are booked via third party websites are not Eligible Stays irrespective of rate paid, for the purpose of earning points, miles or stay credit toward Elite tier status. Stays booked via "opaque" channels where the brand is unknown at the time of purchase are not Eligible Stays for the purpose of earning points, miles or stay credit toward Elite tier status, or the receipt of Elite tier benefits such as upgraded accommodations / amenities or access to health clubs. No point or stay credit, airline frequent flyer mileage credit or credit toward tier status will be awarded for "no show" situations when a member has made a reservation guaranteed with a credit card but then does not check in to the hotel--irrespective of whether or not the member's credit card is charged for any portion of the reserved stay per the hotel's "no show" policy.

if you can manage to get you HH# attached to the reservation you will likely get it. Trivago is not the booking site; only lastminute.com will count.

You are NOT entitled to breakfast or any other Gold benefits.
See eligibility criteria for Stays quoted by MoreMilesPlease above.
Any opaque booking sites where the hotel is unknown at the time of booking is NOT eligible for any benefits which include the Gold breakfast.
You are booking a blind hotel. If you get breakfast, it's a bonus. But don't expect (or demand) it.

CS -
You obviously don't like our answers so asking booking via yet another channel will get you the same result -- if anyone is foolish to again answer you.
Why don't you take your argument to the hotel itself after you have booked with them via a non-Hilton channel and report back to us your sucess.

There is a forum for Travel Tools - the OP may want to look there for various options to pare down the price. But regardless, as others have stated, no benefits or points are likely to accrue though those channels, and in some cases we have had reports of those channels basically getting one the least desirable category of rooms available (reconditioned janitorial closet plus ;)).
There is also a Budget Travel Forum for those seeking more economical options.
HHonors Gold does not entitle anyone to lounge admission, as others have stated, without concurrent upgrade to an Executive level room.

Good point. And if the OP is going to be at a property that many nights, I wouldn't want to risk getting the worst available room. There is no way a property will give a priceline or other opaque bidding site customer an executive room, let alone lounge access.
