LAN LANPASS - Connecting in BOG... DL to LA with only 1H15M. Crazy?

I know this isn't an ideal connection in BOG... Basically, I want to fly from ATL-BOG-CTG. I will be flying DL to BOG, arriving at 2053... Last flight on LA BOG-CTG leaves at 2205. Is this at all possible? I haven't transited BOG, but I know S. American airports often have fabulously long lines at customs.
I will not be checking a bag, and will be checking in ahead of time online. Think its worth a shot?

Also, routing is pretty much concrete. I am flying nonrev/standby from ATL-BOG. Travel has to be on DL for that portion, which makes it my only option for the flight to BOG.

It would be a separate ticket from BOG-CTG...another no-no, I know. I'd be using BA credit card miles to book the LA flight, which is a mere 4500 points, so not the end of the world if I have to throw it away...

Anyway...whats your opinion? Go for it, or no way?

There's a good chance of misconnecting if you are on time. Additional problem: DL443 is sometimes delayed. Anecdotal "evidence" - my last 3 trips on DL443 have all had MX delays out of ATL.

Hmm, a delay would definitely sink my ship....
I'd be hoping for a reverse delay...i.e yesterday DL443 arrived BOG a whopping 45 minutes early. Still giving it some thought.

If everything is on time then it could work. You'd need to sit near the front of your inbound flight and elbow everyone out of the way to get through immigration quickly.

You'd have to OLCI for your LAN flight too because they often seem keen to board early and get out of there pretty damn quick.

You'd come out of international arrivals, then have to walk the length of the terminal building to get to domestic departures, normally security for domestic is fairly quick, LAN flights invariably leave from the bottom of the pier so it's a short walk too.

I think you could do it, if of course you DL flight manages to arrive on time

One other thing I forgot to mention is that DL443 generally parks at a remote stand. Gates are scarce on the international concourse at BOG so most flights that arrive during the evening rush and RON have to park on remote stands and bus pax to the terminal, thus freeing up "real" gates for departing flights.

Be sure to allow for the likelihood of having to wait for the bus transfer from the remote stand in your timeline.

What is the great incentive to do this? I wouldn't risk it --- but everyone is different and some folks enjoy adrenaline!

Could it be because CTG is Gabriel Garcia Marquez's Love In The Time Of Cholera whereas BOG is Tom Clancy's Clear And Present Danger?

It's true, miss that connection and your SUV gets mortared on Av El Dorado
