Being that Copa is owned by United and is part of their FF program, why is it not put into a sub-UA forum, like AF/KLM or Miles & More?

COPA is not owned by UA. It was partly owned by CO. for a time but that ended a few years ago

In 1998, Continental Airlines acquired 49 percent of the airline, On 19 May 1999, Continental increased its stake to 51 percent. Since then, Copa has adopted a livery and a corporate logo similar to Continental's. Copa participated in the OnePass frequent flyer program until Continental's merger with United Airlines. In connection with the initial public offering in December 2005, Continental reduced its investment to approximately 27.3 percent and through a follow-on offering in 2006, further reduced its investment to approximately 10% ten percent.

There are lots of COPA discussions in the United forum and it's child Continental (Pre-Merger) forum.

That said, the proportion of postings in the UA forum about COPA is small due to the high volume in that forum. You can narrow them down by using the search function. I search by the term "COPA" and search for posts, not threads.
