I just booked a room at a Park Plaza. The flexible rate is reduced by 35% for today only.
Also they are offering 50% off redemption rates.
I haven't received any notification of this promotion, anyone know more?

I was just looking at a bunch of places in the SAN LAX SBA area and don't see any special rates. Maybe this is Europe specific?

It was hotel specific.

These pop up every now and then, usually for 24 hours at a time. On Friday it was also available for Park Plaza Utrecht (which you should avoid at all costs), and I've seen one-day only deals pop up for Park Plaza Amsterdam Vondelpark before (usually on Mondays).

Park Inn Kaunas, Lithuania can be had for 4500 gold points per night from now till end of September.

I am struggling to find a list of the available hotels.

It was hotel specific.

On Friday it was also available for Park Plaza Utrecht (which you should avoid at all costs)

I am staying there tomorrow evening, worked out very well with the discounted price, plus the 50k park plaza promo, plus I have early train from Utrecht the day after. Hopefully it is not a total disaster :)

I have nights booked at Park Inn Prague/Park Inn Vienna/Park Inn Budapest and Park Inn Bratislavia.

Any idea if any of these qualify for this promotion?

It depends on when you're checking in and out.

The promotion runs till the end of september. Radisson Budapest is part of the promotion reducing the rate to 14k points per night. The rest are not participating, but you may double check, I think I scanned them, but im not 100% sure.

odd list. Very few locations, but at least nicely spread out - the Scandinavian Radissons are truly great deals at half the points.

Berlin is listed under "UK". When I click the link, it does give me blue coloured point rates, but the are normal at 44k when checking for dates in August...

yeh but the 3 in london, I tried every day in august and september and not one single day has any 50% off.

So cant see the point in listing them, I checked within about 30 seconds of getting the mail, so it would take a lot of convincing to tell me I was too slow off the mark :D

tempted to mail them on this point, but from memory it takes 5 days to get any reply to mails even as a gold elite.

Yes I couldn't find any availability in London either.

Even the Free Breakfast code seems to have very limited availability!

When I first saw this offer come through, I thought "Brilliant - can go stay in Paris for 25,000 points per night". Turns out the only availability seems to be at the less "premium" locations. Although as mentioned above, the Scandinavian hotels seem to be the best value on the offer.
