Middle East - UA DXB Left Luggage - safe?

Hi

I'm soon flying HYD-DXB-IAD, with a 26 hour stopover. I'd like to leave a large suitcase and my laptop with the left luggage service at DXB T1. Is this safe? I'm most concerned about my laptop. The alternative is for me to lug it around all day while I'm sightseeing.

I am staying at a Holiday Inn, so I suppose I could leave the laptop there, with the hotel's left luggage service, but then I'd have to pick it up at the end of the day, on the way to the airport.

Under Sharia law there are cruel penalties for theft up to and including execution.

Yeah, your laptop should be fine in the left luggage at DXB.

I don't think that you can be executed for theft, certainly not of a laptop.

But I agree that Dubai is extremely safe; I would not hesitate for one minute leaving my laptop at left luggage.
