Does G earn mileage on TK?

Does G earn mileage on TK?

I am not trying to make this complicated.

Both UA and TK G will earn 100% on UA.

However, what will a UA G become in TK? Then I don't know.

United mileage accrual in Miles&Smiles (http://www.turkishairlines.com/en-int/miles-and-smiles/partners/when-you-fly/mile-table-united-airlines)

Then you don't really get my meaning.

1. Is the original UA/TK mixed MR booked in TK or UA G?

2. Are the respective flight booked in their respective G?

If the MR is booked under UA G, when it coverts into TK (operating airline), it may not be G anymore.

All published fare classes on TK are eligible. UA G probably maps to P on TK.

The UA flights (LAX → ORD & JFK → LAX) are operated on UA metal (it's rather obvious that they are not codeshares), so there is no need for them to be converted.

Not exactly true. It is extremely rare (or impossible) for UA to have G class for international.

The lowest international rev I have ever seen is K or L.

The lowest international rev I have ever seen is K or L.The UA flights are domestic in my itinerary and your last point only applies to UA international fares (K and L class), this is a TK international fare.

So if it is TK G, what will those UA codeshare flights be booked?

Gary - you really are making this more complicated than it means to be. They accrue 100% mileage.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I'm kinda new to this. All TK flights will accrue UA PQMs as along as long as I enter my UA number on the TK flights? Appreciate the confirmation if anyone knows about this. Thanks!

Original poster here, I posted this almost 2 weeks ago. As many of you already know, one must be quick to take advantage of any fare that looks remotely promising, especially once we enter the last half of the year.

Anyway, the fare is still valid (GV3XPC), however the routing rules changed on July 17th. All travel now must be on TK so the applicable routing is LAX (TK) IST (TK) LIS (TK) IST (TK) LAX. The fare is now about US$ 64.00 more, here is a sample schedule with G availability:

WED 30JAN LAX-IST TK 10 (arrival: 31JAN)
FRI 01FEB IST-LIS TK1759
SAT 02FEB LIS-IST TK1760
SUN 03FEB IST-LAX TK 9

~17756 miles
~US$ 826.00 (4.65¢/mile), inclusive of taxes, gov't fees, security, fuel surcharge, etc.

Notes:

TK charges a higher fuel surcharge ex-LAX than from their other USA gateways (ORD, JFK, IAD)
All flights operated on TK metal
IST stopovers (31JAN & 02FEB) qualify for overnight hotel accommodation by TK (check TK forum & TK website)
Overnight at LIS is on your account (FYI, LIS hotel rates are quite reasonable).....do a mattress run!
Your final price may vary due to ticketing fees (ie TK charges US$24 if purchased on their website)
100% mileage accrual in TK Miles&Smiles and UA MileagePlus
NO mileage accrual in AC Aeroplan, US Dividend Miles, LH Miles & More, NH Mileage Club, SQ KrisFlyer, TG Royal Orchid Plus, NZ Airpoints, A3 Miles&Bonus

İyi şanslar! Boa Sorte! Good luck!
