bmi diamond club - Eeek - *A program to replace household account?

I've searched but I'm not finding it...what's a good *A FF program to sign up for that kids can also be members of (and preferably one that has a "family" or "household" account facility)?

My wife and kids are flying on a *A flight (LOT) to Poland on Saturday. This was booked ages ago, well before the whole BMI->BA thing, and the intention was for them to earn BMI miles...but of course that's over with now. Since it's against my religion to allow them to fly without collecting miles, I need to find an alternative program - and fast.

Requirements:

- easy to sign up, ideally online and instantly
- allows children (7, 7, 9) to be members
- ideally has a household account type facility to pool miles
- doesn't have a requirement to fly with the specific airline
- miles either don't expire or are easy to maintain

If it makes any difference we are resident in both the UK and in Poland.

I'll keep doing research, but -- any thoughts please?

TK are offering family accounts, but only for elite and elite plus card holders. Details here http://www.turkishairlines.com/en-int/corporate/news/12809/the-whole-family-is-smiling

If time is of the essence this will not work for you as you would have to be status matched first and then manually get the famaily account set up.

A3 - no HHA but easy to set up, technically no under 12s but others have reported success joining their u12s, no family transfer but you can redeem for others, low *G threshold with three year card validity, miles don't expire if you credit every 1-2 years, will stauts match BA [no longer BD]. Only real negatives are [no changes to award bookings once made - now no longer the case - and] no miles earning credit card for non Greek residents.

I had the same question and I believe the best option is Asiana Club. They require supporting documents to prove relationships but other than that, it seems to be straight forward.

Hi SimonMiles,

your Kids can stay in Lufthansa Jet Friends Frequent Flyer Programm from Miles and More.

The Miles are valid from now and when the Kids are 18 Years old, then the rolled over in Miles and More.

Hope this Helps. You find it under this Website:

http://www.jetfriends.com/jetfriends2/ or the Miles and More Section in your Country.

Greetz from Austria.

Apologies if this has been discussed before, but are there any recs for replacement family accounts in Star Alliance?

Have just seen the TK offering - attractive redemption rates from Europe to Asia and family accounts available until the kids are 25, but just wondering if anyone had comments on this?

Thanks

ANA allows family accounts for residents outside Japan.

Is the constraint that you have to redeem on ANA however?
