I want to get a flight form San Juan, Puerto Rico to US Virgin Islands. There will be 4 of us, so getting the price down by some amount will multiply by four. The cheapest I can find right now is $152 via American Airlines

Dates are 12/26 -12/30, and they are firm.

SJU 6:25a → STT 6:57a 0h 32m nonstop
STT 6:20p → SJU 6:54p

I don't care which US Virgin Island, I just want to explore and get a nice resort. Anyone have any helpful advice, coupon codes etc, so I can afford to do this with the family?

Thanks for any help!

I've actually been researching this myself lately. Although St. Croix does not have as many resorts as St. Thomas (you'd need to check hotels before you book I'd imagine), flights are slightly cheaper on www.capeair.com. I'm seeing flights for your dates from SJU to STX for $118 return (and fairly reasonable flight times too).

Have fun wherever you decide to go!

Thanks for the advice. You're right, it looks like St. Thomas is probably the island I want to go to. Does anyone have an idea how to get reduce fares for American Airlines? Any coupon codes, etc?

Any coupon codes, etc?

Not on FT.

Try FW.

Also check out Sea borne for flights between SJU and the VI. They use both SJU and Island Grande airport near Old San Juan. JetBlue also has flights to the VI.

Just interjecting my oh so humble opinion:
I used to live on STX, and while there are amazing beaches there, and none of the cruise ship crowds, the trade off is a relative lack of tourist infrastructure. Charlotte Amalie on STT is basically one giant jewelry shop. Go to St. John, or stay closer to Puerto Rico and go to Vieques.
