I am trying to access my reservation and manage my booking and the website doesn't allow me to see a seat map and verify what the seat I was assigned to is. Is there any way to see my seat assingment online at Swiss.com?

And it also shows, that LX prepares pay-for-your-seat. At the moment it states everywhere "CHF 0.-". It opens a new revenue possibility for exit rows etc... I had to call Swiss reservations to get a decent seat on LX421 Works for me intra-Europe in C but not Y (*G, not sure if that makes a difference, I doubt it). I can't change seats automatically assigned to me in Y though. I never had a problem. Now that LX implements this long overdue on line seat selection feature I will not have the pleasure anymore to call them so often. I guess I will continue to fly LX for the ground and in the air product but not really for convenience and efficiency of their online solution that remains sub-par. So that is a big improvement although nothing to write home about as it really is about time they did this. Any idea why - overbooked already? Thanks. Due to how I book flights on Swiss, I cannot change seats online. I always call swiss regarding seat locations, very quick and seems to work. Perhaps they can change it for you and also explain why it was not possible online. Other seats were automatically assigned to you instead. I clicked the link and found that both my longhaul seats have been changed from 4A/7K to 8G! :confused: So I changed them back to 4A and 7K. After confirming the selection I got another message: ! Unfortunately we could not make any seat changes. Please try again. But the screen shows 4A and 7K as my chosen seats. :confused: Logged into My Booking and found that seat selections for shorthaul flights are there but those for longhaul segments have disappeared. First of all I entered my M&M number for my status on the day of the travel (not my current status) but their software didn't recognise the number and did not add any status. I can log into my M&M account using this number but it looks like the seat reseration software only accept one card number associated with your current status. Since no status was attached to the reservation the phone number given on the screen was a general reservation number. The agent told me I could not reserve 4A/7K because I did not have status. He could not help and told me to call M&M. Eventually I talked to a lady who changed my M&M number (LX does not allow you to change your own FFP number) and was able to assign the seats I wanted. I checked LX website later and saw the seats I had requested were displayed. However, LX seat seletion software only gives you the option to Edit your seat selection not to simply display it so I had to pretend to edit my selections. Being a sceptical person that I am I tried to check my seat seletion again later and found that one of the longhaul seats was intact but the other could not be displayed because "the seat was automatically assigned and cannot be edited". This is not true. I think LX IT should offer separate view and edit functions. I was going to call M&M again but checked before doing so and the assigned seats were back again. I wonder if they will stick this time? Dear Newbie Runner, Actually I have also had the same experience a couple of time in the last few months. No matter what, my long-haul seat selection was cancelled even though it was apparently confirmed after seat selection. I ended up calling the Swiss Hon Circle Helpline and they fixed it for me. I was told to in order to be sure to have the seat selected I should keep calling them. It seems that my two next upcoming journeys are fine as to my favourite seats. It happened to me that few days before departures they were cancelled on both legs. swiss_global Feb 2, 13, 11:21 am I had a similar issue, however, on a LH operated flight. Seat 1A (mid haul) was clearly available, but could not be selected online. Also SEN hotline couldn't help and I had to call LH - who could assign it without any problem. It is a priority seat, but being signed in as a SEN, as well as the SEN hotline, didn't help. Therefore I think it was a glitch. I had the very same problem with seat selection -- it seems like preferred seat selection is not working properly. I could, however, select other seats not blocked for SENs and HONs. After calling and giving them my M&M number they were able to assign 4A for me. However, judging by other people's experience it looks like there is indeed some glitch. Anyway I was going to call again to ask which seat had been automatically assigned instead of the one I requested (and had been assigned!) but I checked before calling and found that I could actually see my seat again and was back in the seat I had asked for on the phone. :confused: Apart from the glitch which I hope they will be able to fix soon, it would be helpful if we can simply view our seat assignments without having to pretend we want to change them. I was also confirmed about this by the Swiss HON Circle helpline. The flight in question isn't until early April and according to the seatmap only about 1/3 of the seats are taken and 8 starred seats are still free including 4A.
