Did a search (diamond, three, year), nothing showed up.

My wife and I (Family membership) got new Diamond cards in the mail today. The accompanying letter said that since we had been diamond for ten years (actually 10 of last twelve), our Diamond status had been extended three years; to 30 April 2016. Is this a long standing benefit or something new? Does anyone know if we continue to make Diamond each year, they will continue giving us an extra two years of Diamond status? Not nearly as worthwhile as lifetime status but it would be nice to have Diamond status guaranteed for three years after I quick traveling for businesss.

First I've heard of it, but it is a classy thing for Hilton to do. Sort of like the Million Mile flyers who get lifetime elite status.

Perhaps they think with 10 years of Diamond status you might be getting ready to slow down the travel, and they want to give you a reward when you do travel.

Very nice gesture...

I'm in year 7 of Diamond status so I guess I'll have to wait 3 years and see what happens.

Also, I think Hilton is probably due for some big changes to their program.. perhaps even a new tier. It's just the way these programs work. Just a hunch.

My husband got the same thing recently - 3 extra years for Diamond 10 consecutive years.

A bunch of us reported getting cards with the 2016 expiration date back in February, I wonder why you just got yours now? This is the first time Hilton has done it and no one has addressed if this is a one time thing or if it will continue, but that's a good question.
