Qantas Frequent Flyer - SQ > QF Transfer at Singapore

Will be travelling DPS to SIN on SQ947, arriving at SIN (T2) at 22.40 and then transferring to QF1 departing SIN (T1) at 23.59, so I have 79 minutes to make the connection. Travelling on two separate tickets.
I know I'd be cutting it fine, but anyone has any experience transferring from SQ to a different airline (and Terminal) at SIN? Is there a MCT for such transfer? Would SQ be able to check bags all the way from DPS to LHR?
Thanks!

Is there a MCT for such transfer? Would SQ be able to check bags all the way from DPS to LHR?As far as I can see, the MCT is 60 minutes. Technically, MCTs don't apply if you're on two separate tickets because you are not "connecting", and so the risk of a misconnect is strictly speaking entirely yours.
My experience was that SQ was happy to through-check bags on such a connection, but this was a couple of years ago now so others may have more up-to-date information.

Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are connected air-side, and it's a relatively easy 5-15 minute walk between them (depending on your gate). There's also an air-side train between the two that runs pretty much continually.
SQ will interline to Qantas, just make sure that you have a copy of your QF ticket with you when you check-in.
79 minutes is plenty of time to make the connection - presuming your inbound is on time (or even if it's a little late...), but keep in mind that SIN does security at the gate, so you will need to re-clear security, but it'll be relatively fast. Of course, being on 2 separate tickets means that if you do miss your flight then technically you're on your own - I'd suggest travel insurance would be a good investment just in case...
I have a 50 min connection there in a few months (although it's SQ-SQ) - that one I'd be a little more worried about :)

I've made a JL-QF connection at SIN before in 40 minutes. The connection required going between D40 and C20 (opposite ends of T1) and a stop by the transit desk (as JL wasn't able to issue my QF boarding pass in NRT).

Thanks for the replies, looks a bit risky... let's hope it works!

Would've called you completely insane if you weren't in SIN...

Would've called you completely insane if you weren't in SIN...Only happened because the JL flight was late.

Did you buy a lottery ticket after that? :D
