I posted recently about some frustrations that I had with the Hyatt Diamond trial program. However, my recent stay experiences have (for the most part) been great. I had a stay at the HR in Chicago that was outstanding in every way. Every employee that I encountered there was friendly and helpful. I also got a complimentary upgrade to a suite (without using one of my confirmed suite upgrades) with a great view of the Chicago River and the Wrigley building.
The Regency Club had nice views and good food offerings.

Recent stays at the HR in New Brunswick, NJ and in Rosemont, IL. were also terrific. No suite upgrades, but the rooms in both hotels were immaculate and they both had wonderful people working there. Princeton, NJ HR was a disappointment (rooms are about to be renovated and need it-badly)-but they gave me extra HR points due to the condition of our room. They are supposed to undergo a renovation soon.

GP points (basic, bonus and amenity points) all seem to be posting correctly-not sure what the initial issue was there. I am glad my Hyat experience has improved!

I have stayed at the Hyatt Regency Chicago since 1996 with our most recent stay in June 2012. I think their Regency Club has some of the more personable staff of any of the Hyatt's. For visiting maybe three to four times a year, they know our names and interests (cookies vs. cheesecake). Craig, Reka, Chantelle, deserve great kudos!
