Hi guys,

If that is breathtaking, you and I differ on the definition of the word.

That was horribly boring.

Aparently the requested feedback on the previous stunning, must-see (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/travel-photography/1352388-a330-must-see-takeoff.html) takeoff wasn't taken to heart.

I'm not sure he knows the definition of that word.

Boring and you broke the electronics under 10K foot rule.

I like this video because I like flap/hydraulic noises in videos. The view isn't bad either!

Trivia: Who knows what the object seen at around 6:05 is?

Agree.

If you want to see a really phenomenal A380 landing, this is very sweet (not my video):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDpPv1TtFyg

You hear the birds chirping, then out of the blue the massive A380 is coming straight directly towards you. Then, the loud thrust of the engines just drown out the sound of everything else. Then the birds chirp once again

Nice! The wings on that plane are unreal.^

Doesn't change that it is a rule. It isn't up to us to decide to ignore it when it fits us.

I'm thinking it was more like a 'you had to be there' moment.

I expected to see some shots of the A380 coming in for a landing with views on the Golden Gate Bridge.
I definitely was waiting for the amazing video which never seemed to come. I also thought about the no use of electronics rule being broken. I think it would've been worth it for some nice photos but not this vid.

I enjoyed it. I thought it was nice, I love seeing these type of videos especially those showing many aspects of being there.

I really don't get the nasty comments on this. A 'hey thanks, man' or no comment at all would have been better. 8/10 times it seems flyertalk has very bitter posters from what I have seen

Or "I think it would be better if...", right?

It isn't "positive comment" or nothing, so long as the negative isn't over the top [namecalling, being a butthead towards the OP, etc], who are you to say it should be only positive opinions or nothing at all?

Agree!

Video was good enough for me.

Breathtaking it sure was,the angles alone of the GG.

Love the views...I'm sure it was 100% more breathtaking being there in person. Cameras (at least ones that are small enough to take on board) rarely pick up the quality.

However I am questioning the word "sexy" in the A330 takeoff video...I don't think I have ever heard a takeoff described as sexy...

Well, I'm not ashamed to say I felt "it move a little" watching that beast lift-off.

I want to know why the OP felt that requirement to turn off all electronic devices and all items with on/off switch did not apply to the OP.
