I will be traveling on SQ 2 from Singapore to SFO next week in First class. Although the stopover in Hong Kong is only an hour or so, I wondered if we are allowed to leave the plane and walk into airport at all?

Actually as per US TSA rules, you MUST leave the aircraft at HKG with all your personal belongings while the aircraft is cleaned and searched...while you go through security again before boarding the aircraft

Yup, we all had to deplane and get checked again at security... (flew SQ 2 in Jan 2012).
