Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - LAX-HKG Bought Y Seated in Y+

I bought a RT ticket yesterday for end of august thru mid Sept. I called MPC to get exit row seats for my flight. On outgoing flight (CX883), I am seated on 54H but on CX884, I am seated on 30H (Y starts on row 39 according to manage my booking online).

I can not even see my seat when I tried to change my seat on CX884. What are the chances that I will remain seated on 30H which I think is a Y+?

1. Check the "Seat/Other Services" tab to see if your seat assignment remains confirmed.
2. Check if Y+ (W, R, E) is sold on this FLT and whether in the seat map the seat is occupied. If you can't / don't know how to do that give us the date adn we can help you.

30H indeed is shown as occupied. Have you checked the "Seat/Other Services" tab in MMB under your FLT to see if your seat assignment remains confirmed?

Hmm...a big system glitch then... I can only wish you good luck, but I still believe that sometime between when OLCI opens or when you go to the airport you will be assigned back to Y.

I have a similar issue here. I am on CX881 on 12/15. When I booked the flight, it was still a 77D, so I chose 31A. The aircraft has now been changed to (presumably) a 77H, with Y starting at row 39. My seating assignment still shows 31A, but like the OP I cannot see my seat on the seat map. Can someone run a check and see whether 31A is still showing as occupied?

Also, should I switch seats now? I'd rather be assured I have a good seat instead of going to the airport and finding that CX had reassigned me to row 70. For those of you who have flown on the 77H, what's your opinion on row 39? 39A is currently available; I'm leaning towards that. 39G and 40HK are also open.

EDIT: I took 40H, after reading a review somewhere on here that it was a pretty good seat. Between 40H, 39A and exit row 59, which would be the best bet? Ideally there would be sufficient legroom in front of me such that I could use my roll aboard as a leg rest in front of me.
