Received via snail mail today a postcard as part of a class action settlement for rentals from an Airport location in CA. There are options for cash payment or vouchers for free days. www.ACFTCAsettlement.com - you will need your post card to claim your "share" since there is an Election of Benefits ID number that's unique. In my case, I had 11 days in the period and qualified for 1 of $22, 2 One-Day vouchers, 1 Two-Day voucher.
So be on the lookout for the postcard.

I got something similar via email a few days ago, wasn't sure if it was legit.

It's legit - I got an emaila bout it in addition to the postcard.
And while it states that it covers rentals made from other agencies, it appears you can only count rentals from Avis and Budget when making your claim. Which is unfortunate - I had about 17 days of rentals during that period in CA, and only 5 were from Avis.

I'm not sure about that - since I normally only rent from National - their accounting said that I had 11 days of rental in the period - all from National - and supposedly I'll get vouchers for 2 days of rentals.

Use the web site to file. Be sure and print the final pdf and mail it. Final resolution is in 2013. Don't expect your voucher real soon.
There is also a link to an interesting list of the non-corporate locations.

During this period I rented exclusively from Dollar and I also got the postcard with the settlement.

I got a post card too and when I entered the case number it came up with the right dates and location where I'd rented a car in Cal from National.
It was only for three days, so it's really not worth a stamp to send in the pdf.
I could have gotten a free day from National, but free days from them are so easy to get that why bother with that?

Did it say it had to be sent in? Didn't notice that and when I go back, it says it's already been claimed.
