LAN LANPASS - Oct 8 holiday fares, Peru

Monday Oct 8 is a holiday in Peru. Amazingly, any flights out of Lima to the beaches of the north (Piura, Tumbes) on Friday Oct 5 in Base and Base Plus are "agotado" for after work hours. Only expensive Flexible and Full Flexible fares available. Most Peruvians I know do not or cannot plan three months ahead. :eek: What are the odds LAN simply totally blocked the Base fares?

(FYI, lots of available Piura Base fares other dates for $27, but available Friday after work fares start at $115-$187)
