My mother-in-law is "staying" here for the current promo. Actually my son and I spent the night in the room. Just west of I-65 at Route 30.

Very close to a zillion stores, Costco, bunch of restaurants, gas stations, etc.

OK place, probably 3 stars. Attached to the Star Plaza Theater, favored Chicagoland venue of fading musical stars who still tour and of mid-range acts. Too expensive for what you get, either on cash or points, IMO. Kind of dated (carpeting, etc.). Grotto-style indoor pool in the atrium/lobby, making for a humid check-in. Love that 70s vibe:

Also has an outdoor pool. Lots of parking. Sleep Number beds. Starbucks in the lobby was normal. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful, noted that my MIL's Club Carlson status was reflected in the computer. Bathroom is so small the door does not clear the toilet. AC was excellent. Wifi is free and very good, no dropouts over several hours; no wired option. No toiletries in room on check-in, had to call down for supplies. Did not try the restaurants.
