I知 looking for the best food on a plate.
My guest is vegetarian so a vegi-option tasting menu is essential for her.
The two I知 seriously considering are Marcus Wearing and Pied a Terre.
I知 looking to book the reservation for this week therefore to save time I壇 appreciate feedback from customers who have been to these restaurants only.

Interesting, I recently took advantage of a summer sale at Pied which offered 7 courses for GBP55 and don't remember a single dish as exceptional. That was disappointing given how highly everyone else regards the restaurant. Maybe their regularly priced menu is better, but I am not inclined to go back to find out.
They do have a vegetarian option, I believe, but I am not certain. Also, service was good.

I would say Marcus Wareing outclasses Pied a Terre based on my limited experience (a couple of meals at each) but I couldn't say how good the veggie option might be there.
Pied a Terre is more quirky and I've found when it's on form it's fantastic, but there are creative misfires. Great sommelier and wine pairings though.

Your first line rather contradicts the rest of you post. I've not eaten in Pied (though apparently am this weekend), but I could mention several better testing menus than Marcus, which I found unmemorable, on the only time I was there.

I'd pick Marcus Wareing over Pied a Terre.
In my view however, the Ledbury and La Gavroche offer the best tasting menus in London at the moment.

I've been to Pied a Terre.
Everyone at the table must order the tasting menu - some can choose veg others can choose non-veg. I've had both of them and they were top notch. The meal lasts about ~5 hours. Can't comment on Marcus Wearing.

Rousillon do an excellent vege tasting menu as does Gautier. Hate the service at Gauthier
Some guests can choose the vege tasting menu and others can choose the regular tasting menu

Ended up doing the Hibiscus 6-course tasting menu. The decor was uninspiring and the food was boring. Service great. Bread choice was sliced brown or sliced white!?

The Ledbury is easily London's best restaurant at the moment and the tasting menu is exceptional.

I went to Hibiscus last month and was similarly uninspired. The tuna and chorizo dish was pretty good but otherwise it lacked the flavour intensity you'd expect from a 2*

Agreed.

Pied タ Terre is definitely a place to go to, they serve 10-course tasting menu. Although they serve French Cuisine compose of hams and meat treats, I believe they also offer 10-course vegetarian tasting menu.

The mest restaurant in London is Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester. Had the 6 course tasting menu and it was divine!
Shameless plug!
