Interesting that they're using the 763 to DEL, despite it being nearly a nine-hour flight. One would hope they change this to a long-haul configuration 787 to compete with JL's own 787 introduction. I'm a bit surprised they're not announcing any changes to BOM -- keeping the BBJ on while using a 763 for a new route seems a bit unfair, but I guess yields are steady with the 737.

Also, NRT-RGN will be C-only for now, it seems -- and only 3x weekly. As we discussed earlier (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/all-nippon-airways-mileage-club/1334789-nh-restart-service-myanmar-first-time-12-years.html) it seems they can operate the route without the winter fuel stop in FUK. I look forward to giving it a try sometime, even with those seats!

JL will switch back to 777 from Dec so I guess they think 763 is good enough to compete with the previous generation product :p

What is RGN-NRT like in terms of amenities and meals?

It will probably be similar to BOM-NRT. Unless they use an upgraded aircraft, the seats are essentially the old intra-Asia recliners seen on 763s. On an overnight flight it might be a bit uncomfortable, so I wouldn't get too excited about it.

I'm interested as to how the food will be ex-RGN, as they'll have to contract with a catering company there due to scheduling.
