From the The Times
An Egyptian couple have tried to sneak their baby into the United Arab Emirates by hiding him in their hand luggage. The five-month-old baby was discovered at Sharjah airport when it showed up on an X-ray of the bag, according to Gulf News. The family were first refused entry at immigration because the couple had no passport or visa documents for the baby. According to Gulf News, they attempted to get through security again - this time placing the baby in the bag - after the airport’s security staff changed shifts. A Sharjah Police spokesman said: “They were risking the life of the baby. They said in an interrogation they’d resorted to sneaking him through inside a bag.”
