Good news for Boeing at Farnborough! I hope manufacturers enjoy good sales this year!

Day one of the Farnborough Airshow in England ended with a Boeing victory over Airbus.

Boeing scored a big deal at the show Monday with a firm order for 75 of its new version of the 737 aircraft from Air Lease Corp., which buys planes and leases them to airlines.

The leasing company ordered 60 737 MAX 8 and 15 737 MAX 9 airplanes, with a list-price value of $7.2 billion. The company also has options to buy an additional 25 737 MAXs. Boeing said it was the first 737 MAX order by a leasing company.
