Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan - Do AA flights booked in O class earn mileage on AS

Have a flight booked in O class next week ATL-LGA on AA. I noticed on the AS website it looks like you do not earn AS miles for AA flights booked into O
http://www.alaskaair.com/content/mileage-plan/partners/american.aspx

but I credited miles for a flight booked into O ATL-MIA last december and the miles posted with no problem. Is this a recent change or a glitch?

The actual (updated) text is "Flights taken in O class between North America and Central or South America aren't eligible for mileage accrual." Other routes in O are eligible for normal mileage earning.

Just a word of caution, AA does a bad job of reporting/submitting your information to AS for mileage credit when flying in "O". There were speculations that AA does not even bother submitting relevant information to AS for flights in "O" class of service. All of my trips in "O" on AA never posted.

So, be sure to retain your boarding passes, and if nothing posts after two weeks you can scan them and fax it to the Mileage Plan department when requesting for mileage credit.

Thanks. I went back and double checked and my domestic flight ATL-MIA was booked into Q with the 2nd leg MIA-SXM booked into O. Both flights posted to MileagePlan pretty quick.

So, the AA earnings seem a bit messed up (paging missydarlin):

http://www.alaskaair.com/content/mileage-plan/partners/american.aspx

Business Class Cabin: Earn actual flight miles* flown in I, J, or D classes of service, plus 25% Bonus Miles.

First Class Cabin: Earn actual flight miles* flown in I, J, or D classes of service, plus 25% Bonus Miles.

Copypasta?
