Any one knows how the logic works for the Spirit random seat assignment?
If one is looking for a more desirable seat (i.e. window), is it best to check-in later than earlier?
I would assume that the computer system automates the process to optimize revenues. In this case, I would assume that early check-ins that do not pay the seat assignment fees get less-desirable seat assignments to ensure that future check-ins have the potential to pay and upgrade to a more desirable seat.
Following this logic, last check-ins may have the opportunity to score better seats because most of the less desirable middle seats have already been assigned.
