Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - Satellite Phones in F on A380

Anybody know if they have Satellite phones in F on the A380? If so, do they work on NRT<>FRA flights.

All LH longhaul aircraft have sat phones, mostly they are cordless and can be used anywhere in the plane.

i have never seen a cordless satphone on any LH aircraft.

AFAIK the A333/346/380 satphones are cordless.

Interesting, I´ve never seen anyone making a phone call inflight.

At $10/min it could actually make sense to make a brief phone call in case of irrops etc.

I have made calls when I was rerouted on irrops or simply forgot something. However this was mostly on EK & SK (4-6$/min), only used LH's phone once.

I can just imagine myself calling the LH callcenter inflight: "I´m currently on LHxxx. The captain expects a 1h delay. Can you please rebook me on LHxxx for my onward connection?" instead of dealing with the issue at the airport.:D
