Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus - Transfer assistance in ZRH for TG F pax?

Next week I'll be travelling ARN-ZRH in LX C, transferring at ZRH to ZRH-BKK in TG F.

Does anyone know if I'll be met by a TG rep when my LX flight arrives in ZRH and be given transfer assistance to the lounge and onward to the gate?

And does anyone know the correct lounge for TG F passengers in ZRH? The TG website information seems to be out of date for ZRH.

Looking forward to my first TG F experience! :-)

TG F passengers use the Senator Lounge.

If both of your tickets are together and connecting, also that TG are aware of your arrival, a ground assistant will meet you.

The ground agent might want to escort you to the Panorama Lounge which is close to the departure gate (usually E43). You will want to avoid this lounge at any cost since it has the appearance of a triste staff canteen. Insist on going to the LX Senator Lounge which is further away from the departure gate but offers a lot more. Keep in mind that both lounges get pretty busy before noon since most LX long haulers depart around that time.

I have a tight connection in PEK from LX F to TG J to BKK (connecting same day to SYD in TG F). It's 95 minutes, which is legal according to the agent that booked the ticket, but I've been hearing horror stories. Any chance of transfer assistance due to the (eventual) F segment?

You may get transfer assistance as a result of you LX F arrival, but I would think its very, very unlikely you'll receive TG assistance given you're departing in TG J. You class of travel ex-BKK isn't really relevant.

BTW, 95 mins should be fine for transfer in PEK.

I am similar to you Kispiox,

I am flying in on UA from EWR into ZRH and am on the ZRH to BKK on TG F.

I already planned to go to the Senators lounge for the layover, my entire itinerary was booked through UA so I assume that a TG agent will be meeting me at the gate?

Basically one should not assume that due to your class of travel, that the airline will send a representative. TG will only meet and greet F passengers arriving / connecting to TG flights. If you're in J, you're on your own.

If you want assistance, then you need to request for it on your reservations.
You would request a MAAS .. which stands for Meet and Assist. If you arrive on one airline and depart on another, you have to request MAAS with the arriving airline. Though it may just be a representative to assist someone who may not understand the language, hard of hearing etc, sometimes they might send a wheelchair and that's all the assistance you get !

But note not all airlines will provide that service.. especially the US ones.

I have deleted posts which are snarky, do not relate to the substantive discussion of the thread, or are personal comments on another FTer. Let's stick to the topic at hand, please, without personal comments about other posters. Thanks!!

You will not be met by a TG agent upon arrival of your UA flight. You'll be on your own to navigate to the Senator lounge and then back to Terminal E to your TG departure gate.
