Hilton HHonors - is Gold worth it / Wailea?

Hello, i am a Hyatt Diamond but was thinking of going for Hilton Challenge to attain gold status for possible upcoming stay at Grand Wailea (family of 4, 2 kids under 7). Website shows no clear guarantee for Exec / Lounge access for Gold - should i bother with challenge etc? with hyatts i get ability to upgrade as diamond but curious what your gold experiences have been. thank you!:D:D

If you look, there is a huge thread for The Grand Wailea. In it, it is clearly discussed that per WA and HH rules, there is no lounge access at the GW for Golds, or for Diamonds, for that matter. If you have read the HH regs, which I assume you have to be planning lounge access and challenging Gold, you see the GW is exempted from any lounge access.

The GW is a great facility, particularly for families. "Worth it" is a personal opinion, only you can decide on. We happen to like it, visit regularly, and we don't even have kids.
