Hilton HHonors - Total newbie points question - help!

Hi everyone

I've searched but can't seem to find an answer so I would really appreciate some guidance! ^ Between base points / bonus points (I'm signed up for points and points) and then the Q2 promo and the Q3 promo, I'm having trouble trying to figure out how many points I should be getting for a stay.

Am I correct in saying that there is no maximum base/bonus points that you can receive in a stay?

So am I calculating this right .... for example, say the room rate is $90 per night and I spend $10 on dinner each night, am I calculating this right (on a per night basis) so total spending $100 per night.

STANDARD POINTS
100 x 10 = 1,000 BASE
100 x 5 = 500 BONUS

PLUS:

Q2 PROMO
equivalent to base points = 1,000 BONUS

Q3 PROMO
Mon-Thur per night: equivalent to base points = 1,000 BONUS
Fri-Sun per night: equivalent to double base points = 2,000 BONUS

I believe you are correct. I looked at recent stays and that is what I'm seeing for Q2, you would also get elite bonus over and above that, i.e. 150 for silver, etc.

your calcuation looks correct, except any elite bonus or my way preference bonus you may get.

also, on the Q3 promo, it's the average of the folio for the entire stay, so if you room rate differs then your calculation would be somewhat off for the Q3 promo.

I'll add to the previous responses that there is a maximum base points for a stay : 100 000.

Oh really? I thought max of 100k was just for Events rather than individual stays?

It's in the "Accrual of points" section of the T&Cs :

10. Members may not accrue more than 100,000 Base Points during one stay, regardless of the amount of eligible folio charges, except for Homewood Suites by Hilton, Home2 Suites by Hilton and Qasr Al Sharq (a member of The Waldorf Astoria) hotels for which there is no cap.

Since the bonus points are calculated from the earned base points, the maximum amount of points (base + bonuses) for a Diamond with the current promos is between 301K and 401K per stay(MyWay on Points&Points)
