Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - SIN-DME-IAH - Can I add a sector to London, UK?

Hello lads,

I hope everyone is doing well. I have a question that maybe one of you can help me with.

I am wondering, if I fly either SIN-DME-IAH round trip, can I make a side trip on the same ticket DME-LHR or LGW?

So the revised routing would be SIN-DME-IAH-DME-LHR/LGW-SIN

I would not stopover in DME on the way to IAH.

I would like to utilize the same ticket so that I can avail of the USA baggage allowance...

If not, do I need to buy a seperate ticket DME-LHR/LGW-DME?

I will be travelling economy.

Thank you!
Andrew

No you can't unless it's a full fare economy ticket which I very much doubt you are on. The fare itself would be at least over $5K!

You'd have to buy a separate ticket, and only if your current ticket allows a stopover at DME so you can cordinate your flight times etc. baggage allowance will be whatever your other ticket dictates.

Note that if you travel on BA, you may interline from SQ to BA but not the other way round. BA will not interline bags if not on same ticket. So advise to take another carrier. Transaero also does not have baggage interline with SQ either.

What is the original routing of your ticket? Where did ou purchase it from? And cost of ticket ? Does your ticket allow you to stopover in DME in the first place?
