I heard this local bar & restaurant on Central Park South recently closed its doors and when I heard that will admit to being a little :( as I'd stopped by several times during past NYC visits, the last time two years ago after a big Yankees win.
Will anyone else mourn it's passing? Just curious.

Based on the thread title, I was thinking someone lost some baseball cards!

No. They weren't nice people.

Nice enough to this pasty Canadian tourist. Maybe it's my natural charm...;)

It sounds like a great place to meet a) Wankees fans, b) other tourists, c) people whose idea of "heading into the city for the day" involves stopping by a celebrity sports bar.
In other words, the Triple Crown of awesomeness. :p

They had brought in a investor to pay back bills/rent, but I think it only lasted a few months and they were right back to being behind and were evicted

I'll join you for a brief moment of silence. My dad and I used to go there a lot when I was a kid. One time Mickey Mantle was there, and he was nice enough to sign something for me. Good memories... :)
