Prefer those who have made similar connections respond vs. what the airline recommends as not sure when they close aircraft for boarding for intl united.
Bw from tab to pos scheduled landing 7:05am on Sunday
Pos to houston on united scheduled departure at 7:45 previously was 8am.
I believe it is too tight with deplane and clearance of immigration for outbound but no bags to check and small airport. Opinions as my next action is change to 1am departure on BW and wait it out at POS

As small as an airport we have, that connection time is too short to deplane, clear immigration and customs and head back through security and then to the gate :(
You say the next flight is at 1 am? Does that mean spending the entire day and evening at POS?

I anticipated that answer..
The 1am would be the same day as outbound so it arrives at 1:45 and departure is 8am to the US.

This sounds like your safer option.
However, there's nothing to do in POS during your layover. All places are closed in the terminal and the there's not many chairs available (if you and to try to sleep) either.
The only thing I can recommend is to catch some sleep at the Holiday Inn Express, located less than 5 minutes away with a free shuttle to and from the airport and breakfast.

I spent a couple days in Trinidad last year, and it was a pleasant enough time.
However, I'm now also faced with a long connection (arrive 6:55am, depart 3:00pm) on a Tuesday.
...any suggestions? I figure I have to be back by 1pm anyways, so something that can occupy part of the mid to late morning would be nice. I can only sit at Sharky's at the airport eating doubles for so long!

I just re-read this and realise that you may make it. The problem is the TAB-POS flight bring on time. Since you have no bags, and I assume already have a boarding pass for your onward flight, you ask nicely to have a seat at the door on the flight from TAB, you land in POS, push your way past everyone, turn left at the door and head right into security for International flights.....it's tight but a possible
Good luck!

Ahhh
Based on replies previously already changed return for fear of operating delay by Carib. Some of the flights this past week have shown arrivals as late as 7:18 which would make connection less than 30 mins and would have to wait for duffle from the back if it doesn't fit in overhead. Best to not chance it as would be stuck in pos another day until next departure assuming availability for two passengers.

Just to be pedantic - he's flying TAB-POS - so no customs clearance....I missed that the first time I read it.

Would I still need to clear customs to board a flight bound for US (Houston)? I guess exit from T&T borders/exit stamp?

No, there are no Customs or Immigration checks between TAB and POS, and there is no longer an outbound Immigration check at POS.
However you will need to check-in at the POS counter and submit an outbound Immigration form to the check-in desk. You then go through x-ray security to the gate.
No so different to US airport ;-)
