AirTran Airways A+ Rewards - Flight credit question

I'm canceling a flight that has 2 people on the PNR, I paid for the reservation. The second person will not be accompanying me on the rescheduled trip. When I cancel the booking, can I use the credit for myself and another person (I know about the cancel fee and paying difference in fare)? Or does the credit have to be used by the original passengers? :confused:

Call 1-800-Airtran and explain the situation asking them to retain the most value.

Can I use credit in my name for booking a ticket for a friend or a relative? Or does the credit have to be used for purchasing tickets only in my name? Would appreciate some information on the use of credit file.

I am not talking about A+ award credits here but rather $$$ credits.
