Hilton HHonors - are bonus points based on status at checkin or checkout

I checked in as a blue then went to gold midstay (as in I am still here but am now gold according to my online profile). Do I earn the Gold bonus for my entire stay?

It should be based on check-in, so you will probably not be able to earn the Gold bonus points on this stay but starting on your next one.

Was it a previous stay that earned you Gold status? In which case, you may be able to call HH and get Gold bonus for this stay. Status doesn't change until stays post, so if your online profile now says you are Gold, it's worth a shot.

If you are in the middle of a stay, everything is based on checkout.
So, if you tier status changes in the midst of another stay (due to a different stay posting or CC) you will get bonus based on the status at time of checkout.

Yes it was due to previous activity. I just wanted to make it clear that I actually have the status as of now ( as in my online profile now says gold not blu) before my checkout.
