All i can say is WoWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Arrived At 10:30a.m at the Upper wing was meet and greeted all our cases were taken for the 7 of us 11 cases in total, walked through private security channel and in duty free within 5 minutes, the longest part was the walk to the Clubhouse, arrived at the Clubhouse we had other family members with us in PE 3 came in as guest and 1 we paid for £60, However our flight was at 22:00Hrs LOL,

We all decided to have the full english with a glass of champagne followed by Tea and Coffee, we then all booked 2 treatments each where we had a discount on the additional treatments ( i can recommend open cut throat shave).

we decided to walk off the breakfast around duty free we left most of our hand luggage in the clubhouse they give you a ticket, we bought some aftershave and perfume's decided to return to clubhouse for a few drinks,
then at 14:30hrs we had lunch the minute steak was awesome the teenagers had the clubhouse burgers with cheese we also had to have desert which was fantastic with a few more champagnes,

we had several games of pool and i even went back 30 years ago on the arcade machines (MR DO) lol the waiters and waitreses did not stop filling up our glasses they work extremely hard and i do know tipping is optional so i decided to tip the barstaff and the waiters etc etc.

At 5ish our treatments started for the 7 of us from wet shaves, massages, haircuts, nails, foot treatments etc etc as you may be aware the staff our great so yet again we decided to tip.

about 19:30hrs we decided to have our evening meal again fantastic i choose the salmon on fennel and citrus fruit which was stunning again my glass was always full of champagne i also took the plunge of the deli bar where i had fresh ham stilton cheese and crackers which was fabalous followed by a few espresso's.

we then decided to walk to gate 34 which i was glad of really with all of that amazing food and drink we consumed.

boarded the plane at 21:10hrs and before i could sit down (we had seats 10,11,12A) another glass of champagne, we took off at 22:18hrs and as soon as we leveled off more champagne was flowing, the cabin crew was amazing i even had the Fillet steak i rellay couldnt of ate a starter and pudding LOL, i decided to convert the bed at 02:00a.m and i woke so refreshed at 07:30hrs with only 20 minutes to go before we landed all i can say is a big WELL DONE TO ALL OF THE VIRGIN STAFF IT WAS TRUELY AMAZING.

WELL DONE TO RICHARD BRANSON

How would you compare it to the concorde room?

Heaps better, more attentive staff, better food, amenities, choices, etc. Apart from the champagne selection itself.

10h 40m in a lounge? You are indeed a true FTer. :D

(I don't kow the rules for VS at LHR, but I am a bit surprised you could check in that early) Sounds like a great day, though!

I loved the clubhouses. LHR obviously the best for me and HKG and NRT nice ones too :)

But what I don't understand shouldn't a F lounge i.e. concorde room be better than a J lounge (VS CH) ???

VS has doen a great job with the LHR CH :)

Next time I think you should spend a little longer in the Clubhouse and really make full use of its facilities. :)

The LHR Clubhouse is better than the CCR, in my opinion. Service is much better. Food roughly the same. Wine quite noticeably worse. General amenities a bit better. Given that we are comparing J to F, VS deserve to be congratulated.

I will say that the CCR is more classy in its design and furnishing, and it has terrific apron views (vs Virgin's grotty T3 plane-park), but somehow that doesn't compensate for its failings.

You could arrive at 7 am for a 10 pm flight if you really wanted to ...

There is always the roof deck at the clubhouse.

NRT is small, but I also like it.

Glad you got good use of the 60 quid. Passed thru there last week. Wife and I both UC and Gold members 3 kids in the back. They insisted on the entrance fee for my 14 year old strictly enforcing the 1 guest per. For 2 hours I thought it was a bit much. For 10 maybe not so much :)

We should have asked the single lady in front of us to guest my son in.

I'm SFO-LHR this afternoon on my own. Anyone want to save on admission PM me...

( i can recommend open cut throat shave).

Where did you get this? Whilst the shave is nice it's definately not a cut throat shave as they use a normal disposable razor as you are most definately not allowed 'cut throat razors' airside.

the use an ordinary razoe for the free shave (which I have had) but this

clearly states 'cut throat razor'
