Would it be possible for my wife to use the Free Anniv Night if I were not with her? We have separate cards but one account and the free night stay is in my name.

Basically, the T&Cs state the cert if for your use and thus you need to be there. But in reality, it seems most have been successful in letting others use the cert if the reservation was made in your name and the other person's name is added to the reservation (may have to call MR to get that done.) Note that some of the previous posts on this seem to show that if the other person's last name is the same as yours, you may not even need to call and have their name added to the reservation. But as always, be aware that it is possible the hotel could be one that really sticks to the T&Cs and expects you to show up. If that were to happen, then the person checking-in may end up having to pay whatever the currently available rate is. (And that may be higher than most any rates your seeing now.) Thanks for the reply. I have called and added her name. Hopefully there won't be any problems. I 40 Jul 7, 12, 2:06 pm Have never had a problem doing this. What's to say you won't be showing up later, but she wants to check in now? DCAGUY Jul 7, 12, 9:02 pm On several occasions, I have used my wife's Free Anniv Night certs and various Cat 4 certs under her account without a problem. I have always been included as an additional guest. CSR told me that if I am registered as an additional guest, the reservation will also come up under my name at check in. At check in I have provided my name and have never had a problem. |
