Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - Suites on SQ 25 or SQ 11 for MIA-SIN?

I have the option of taking SQ 25 or SQ 11 in Suites for MIA-SIN.

Ultimately I am traveling onward to MLE. Just trying to decide whether to do MIA-JFK-FRA-SIN or MIA-LAX-NRT-SIN. Pricing is roughly the same.

I am leaning slightly towards flying through JFK for the longer layover/better buffer there, more options out of JFK in the case of irrops, widebody connection on AA for MIA-JFK, and the Clubhouse at JFK.

Any recommendations on which routing is better?

May I ask what 'pricing' you're looking at? You only quoted fares to SIN .. what about to MLE? Is it a through fare?

Note that Suites Class is not First Class.

SIN-MLE-SIN is a separate award ticket.

MIA-JFK-FRA-SIN prices at $8113 (MIA-JFK in AA First, JFK-FRA-SIN in Suites)
MIA-LAX-NRT-SIN prices at $7991 (MIA-LAX in DL First, LAX-NRT-SIN in Suites)

Just trying to decide which offers the best travel experience- lounges, time zone acclimation, ease of rebooking in the case of irrops, etc..

There is no diff in lounges. SQ does not have a dedicated lounge for F passengers like they do in FRA for LH passengers. Even as SQ Suites class, you cannot go to LH's F terminal.

Service wise - its about the same.. flying eastbound obviously is 'faster' than flying westbound. So the LAX-NRT-SIN flight is going to be 'longer' , and the flight arrives in the wee early hours of the morning in SIN ie 0255! Whereas the Atlantic flight arrives at a more pleasant 0635am.

Both at LAX and JFK you may BTC with SQ or else order the main meals on board.

Get a quote for MIA-EWR-SIN in Business. The all-Business flight is still the best option as it is non-stop.

I have flown both SQ 11 and SQ 25 in suites multiple times this year. I would take SQ 11 for a simple reason: its almost always lighter load than SQ 25. Of three times I have been on SQ 11 this year, once I was the only suites pax all the way to SIN; once it was me along to NRT then one other pax to SIN; and once it was me and one other pax the entire way. On all these flights, I was seated in a side suite and readily offered a middle "queen bedded" suite for sleeping. Service was obviously great with the low pax load. SQ 25 is almost always in my experience way more sold in suites, and I have never gotten a "queen bed" on that route.

Also, personally, I love the Kaiseki on SQ 11, though the menu on SQ 25 is good as well. And I prefer to shower & refresh in Tokyo versus Frankfurt.

I love the idea of going through EWR, but I really would like the Suites experience.

There are two of us traveling, and both routings have the two sets of middle suites available for the queen bed setup (I understand row 3 to be slightly better).

Getting to LAX has fewer options for a connection, and is much less forgiving with regards to irrops.

I also looked into MIA-FRA in LH first as well as MIA-LHR in Virgin Upper class with connections to SQ Suites but pricing is a little too high ($11K+)

With the VS upper class sale I was able fo find MIA-LHR-SIN for only a little more than the double connection through LAX and NRT, so I snagged it. Too bad I won't be able to use the clubouse...
