Hi there!
On Iberia web-site you can read that OLCI opens "a day before" departure.
Does it mean 24 hrs before or already after midnight the day before departure???

24 hrs before departure.

If you are lucky.

I was unable to check in online as CMN was not in their pulldown list of airports served. Also could not checkin/select seats on the BA codeshare I booked through Iberia. YMMV

Haha, I´ve had similar issues..the integration (or lack of) of the BA/IB systems is astounding. I´ve had same issues...booked on ba.com, can´t check in for IB metal and vice versa. Seems IB.com will work for majority of airports on IB operated flights when you have an IB flight number.

Usually, right after midnight, on the day before departure it is possible to do the online checkin "autocheckin online"
I was told by BA staff working at T3 that IB checkin system is more advanced than BA's but BA is not wiling to make any effort to change it, therefore integration of both systems is still missing between the two sibling airlines

Related question: I am traveling on an AA-issued ticket that includes segments on IB and BA. On a couple of days of the itinerary, I am beginning travel on IB. Should I attempt to check in on iberia.com or aa.com? Never tried OLCI with IB before.

Thanks for any advice!

If it's and IB operated flight you should be OK checking in on iberia.com

I don't know either of the systems but I do know that AA and BA do integrate. It's IB that doesn't integrate with either of the 2, nor BA nor AA. My status on AA allows me to book seats upfront on BA, not IB. A serious drawback for me.
BA recognized the AA record locator (from Sabre) from day 1 after the booking. I didn't even need to provide the Amadeus record locator.
IB didn't recognize either of those. From 24hrs before the flight I could use both Sabre and Amadeus codes. So it seems that data is only loaded in their system a few days in advance to the flight.

You would think that since BA and IB are now theoretically one company they would start using one system...

Just did it today and it works the day before (as Springbok37 said). I got their e-mail prompting me to OLCI 24 hours before the first flight, but I had already done it several hours before.

I had actually never seen this with other airlines.
