This very fine, old property is just opposite Magdalen College in Oxford. I first stayed here in June 1980 and stayed there again last weekend, just 32 years later.
It's changed a bit in that time, but so have I.
A very fine property, with efficient check-in and baggage storage and a decent breakfast provided.
Oh, and for a reason that is completely beyond me, my wife and I were upgraded to the Ruskin Suite, clearly their pride and joy, decorated with Oxford memorabilia from times past. This suite is one of the very best places we have ever stayed. (though the view from the windows is quite ordinary)
I have Gold status with Le Club, so I would be surprised to be the highest status member there. Any theories as to why me? I'm certainly not complaining, just wondering.
