Search for flights on Tuesday or Wednesday to find the cheapest fares. Try various sites like farecompare, expedia, usairways etc and start putting in places that you might like to visit. I'm assuming you want to do this fairly quickly and do not want to wait until a particular fare price comes up for a particular city. A little bit of work will find you a price you are willing to pay. redtop43 Jul 3, 12, 5:59 pm I'm not saying they did not make this offer, but I hadn't heard of it before. Usually they will charge you a price to reinstate miles. Have they actually expired yet? If they haven't expired and you need some transaction to keep them active, there are many other ways than taking a flight. Also, does the flight have to be on US metal, or can it be on another carrier and credited to US? If you really want to be cheap, you might be able to do something like take the train to PHL, fly PHL-RDU, then take the train from RDU back to DC. (I'll give you a ride from RDU to the train station here if you need it!) Stubtify Jul 3, 12, 6:23 pm Is there anywhere you would WANT to go? If you're going to fly somewhere just for the sake of flying, why not add in a trip to a place you'd want to go? Otherwise DCA to MCO is pricing out at $156 for a round trip. Was the lowest nonstop I could find. available for a couple night stay as well. A shorter flight is DCA to SYR $160. mia Jul 3, 12, 7:23 pm Welcome to Flyertalk.
