Actually - I just noticed that the price I posted was for flights that have a through UA number - which I understand penalizes mileage earning (considers it point to point rather than considering the layovers). But it is widely available on other days for $197.

Another similar fare is out there now (might deserve it own thread?)....

Multiple Destos on United.com worked for the BWI-SFO-SAN-IAH-BWI. Not sure about adding the EWR.

And I thought $192 UA BOS-STL was good recently (well it is good for STL anyway!). Did DL or AA match this?

I was able to book BWI-LAX-SAN-SFO-BWI on 5 July (same day turn) for $257. (4.4 cpm) Not perfect, particularly out of BWI, but I need the miles this year...

Well if BWI is snowed in (rarely happens) there will most likely be a travel waiver beforehand, so I'll just reschedule the whole thing. Same with ORD. And it's mostly same-day so I'm comfortable with the risk. Winter storms usually come with a bit more warning.
