SAS EuroBonus - 40 or 50 trips for Gold?

According to SAS tables, 50 single segments on SK metal is required for gold status. According to status after logging into my account with SAS today, 40 trips is required. My period ends September and I have 40 within reach but not necessarily 50. Will the new rules apply for the next period and not the present?

As I understand it from discussions on other forums there is a 3 month transition period (May, June,July) where you can still make gold after the old rules, but from August the new rules wil apply. So when you log on to your EB account from August 1. the required segments will change to 50.
