Chase Ultimate Rewards - Chase Sapphire Preferred Return Protection benefit - anyone used it?

Has anyone actually tried to use the "Return Protection" benefit of the Chase Sapphire Preferred?

What was your experience like?


"Return Protection
If a retailer will not accept a return within the first 90 days of purchase, you can be reimbursed for the cost of an eligible item purchased on your card."

I have not used that benefit, but suspect you may find the answer here

I know that someone recently used the price guarantee benefit, on a tablet or phone, I think.
Not sure if the answer is in there, but it may give you a place to start.

The 1 hit was for someone asking if it was like AmEx's benefit, not from someone who actually tried to use the benefit.

I called them and started a claim. They asked to fax or mail documents to the third party company. I had to do this 3 times before I got a response. But I did and on the 3rd time they called me and said they received the documents and I should mail the item. I mailed the item and about 5 days after it was received they called me and told me they would send the check. It should arrive...
