New here and have a question.
Today I was able to buy a Samsonite Bright Lite 29" hardside spinner for $60.

Which I thought was a great deal.
But what I didn't realize is that it is oversized by 2 inches.
As the dimensions are 29.5 x 20 x 14.5.

Does anyone have experiences with traveling with baggage that is just a few inches too big?
Does it get noticed or not?
I would love to hear about it.
As I really don't wanna get charged $300 for oversized baggage on the international trip I'm about to take.

I wouldn't worry about the size. I would worry about the possibility of overpacking a large bag. It is seldom that checked luggage get measured for its dimensions, but it gets weighed every single time. :)

Unless your frequent flyer status lets you off the charges (some do!).

The bag may be a bargain for a good reason.....oversize charges!

Buy it only if you are going to use it for non-flying travel. Why take the risk? The first over size (and likely over-weight charge) will be more than you paid for the bag.

I don't know what airlines you guys fly on but that case in cm is 75x50x36.8cm.
The case I travel all the time with is 80x50x40cm

Max sizes
BA is 90cm x 75cm x 43cm (35.5in x 29.5in x 16 in),
