Avis - Can I rent a Sat Nav at SFO with avis

I have booked a car from SFO to LAX with Avis in October, it never gave me the option of renting a sat nav.

Is this something I can do when I pick the car up? As I would not be confident without it.

Have you considered simply buying one? This model is cheap and the one I use for travel (just leave it in my suitcase):

Otherwise, I would just call the local Avis office and have the GPS added on to your booking.

You should be able to view your reservation on the Avis website and add the GPS option from there. You can request it when you get to the counter, but there's no guarantee they'll have units on hand.

I'm with Doc - either buy a cheap GPS unit for travel or (if you have one) use the Maps app on your smartphone.
