Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - Which plane to take Perth-Singapore-Hong Kong?

I have a booking PER-SIN-HKG but can't decide on which route to take. The total amount of time taken is different and so are the planes. I don't fly enough to know the difference so perhaps someone can give me some advice. The choices are:
d.0110 a.1120 SQ216/SQ890 A330-300/B777-200
d.0225 a.1330 SQ214/SQ856 A330-300/A380-800
d.0740 a.1850 SQ224/SQ872 B777-200/B777-200

The route is the same
Perth to Singapore on all flights.
Choose a time that suits you best.

The differences are the amount if connection time. Go with the 380 to HKG for the experience.

I was looking for a little more than the obvious answers like 'the A380 is way better than the A330 which is way better than the B777'. And 'the route is the same' ... ?

Not sure there's really much more to it than that. Although I suppose it matters to some extent which class you will be flying.

Really the choice you have is between A330 and 777 and then between A380 and 777. If you are flying in Y then I would probably say it doesn't make much difference for the PER-SIN sector. For SIN-HKG I would most likely avoid the A380 since there will be that many more Y seats which means bigger crowds at the gate, etc. But if I were flying C or F then I would pick the A380 for the experience.

Ultimately the schedule that works best for you is probably the most important factor as noted above.

I would want to adjust to local time asap, so setting out at 0110 and arriving at 1120 sounds good to me.

I'd consider only the 777 or A380 if available to be honest.

That being said I don't think you have much of a choice of aircraft, which from memory is only ever an A330.

Maybe if you were clearer about the question. You would have got answers closer to the question.

Are you flying coach ? then is makes no difference
if you are flying C or F, then it might.

Well don't know but the SQ224 flight seemed to get delayed by more than 6hrs from Perth(!) today

I would take the first option, as it gives you an extra half a day in HKG. PER, SIN, and HKG are all in the same time zone, IIRC.

And I would think that a 2:25am or 7:40am departure would be extremely inhumane...

If you are going Y the seats and IFE are better on the A330 & A380
