Hilton HHonors - Q2 Success Stories

Hello everyone,

I'm making this thread so that we can share our success stories for the Q2 promotion that just ended.

I stayed a total of 42 nights at an average rate of $276 per night. This netted me, along with the Double Dip preference and Double Points choice, about 330,000 points (the room service I ordered helped a little too :))

What can 330K points get me?

Assuming that you didn't omit the tax rate in your quoted room rate average, and that your room service bill wasn't in the thousands, that's a pretty decent rate of return. As long as you can redeem your points at 'standard', not 'premium' rates, you may have been able to get 10%+ return on your stays, which is excellent value.

I got this from recent two-night stay in Conrad New York using their opening sale promo.

So 20,635 Hilton points plus 1000 AY miles.

I opted for double miles. In the quarter I had 6 stays and 13 nights. They broke down as follows:

3 stays/10 nights using award redemptions - no miles.

2 stays/2 nights at a non-participating Doubletree - 500 miles each night.

1 stay/1 night at a Hampton - double miles so received 200 miles total.

So I netted 100 bonus miles for the promotion.

Funny thing, I'm very happy with Hilton. In addition to ten free nights in Italy, I earned 9,900 points and 1,200 airline miles during the quarter on stays. (And another 38,432 in credit card spending.)

I think I ended Q2 fairly well!
