Amtrak Guest Rewards - Does the Northbound CS serve dinner before arriving in Seattle?
Hi -
I am taking the train up to a DL-do in Seattle. I know, I should be doing some absurd mileage run like PDX-JFK-SEA, but I'm not.
Anyway, I was wondering if the Coast Starlight served dinner in the dining car before it pulled into Seattle, or if it shut down early.
Maybe dinner is served in the Parlour Car?
Many thanks.

Dinner will be served on train 14 into SEA. ^

Hey, no need to apologize, you're taking quite possibly the best train in the Amtrak system! I took it a few years ago (only to Portland though) and had a blast. In fact, it got me into long distance trains. Have a great time!
If the train is running with an on time or early arrival to SEA, there will be a short window for dinner service. I was on it two weeks ago and dinner was served from 5-6, with only one seating in the PPC.

Many thanks. I have taken the Casacdes several times and I know they always shut down the cafe car around Tacoma. Nice to know that they will shut down the dining car around Centralia.

Last time we were early into SEA, I didn't leave the diner till Tacoma. The crew was surprisingly unhurried with the service (contrary to how they often are with the last meal on a multiple-day run).
