Enjoy. ffI Jul 1, 12, 2:32 pm Share a little…give a lot! When you share your miles with another member in July, they’ll receive up to 50% more miles. Here’s how it works: ShareGive 1 – 9,000 miles10% bonus 10,000 – 19,000 miles20% bonus 20,000 – 29,000 miles30% bonus 30,000 – 39,000 miles 40% bonus 40,000 – 50,000 miles 50% bonus Offer valid for your FIRST Share transaction (purchaser or recipient) made between July 1, 2012 00:00:01 AM PT and July 31, 2012 23:59:59 PM PT. This bonus is only applicable for Share Miles and the offer does not apply to Buy or Gift Miles transactions. Bonus amounts will be awarded upon completion of the transaction. Bonus miles will be awarded to the recipient of the Share. Offer is subject to change. Offer cannot be combined with any other offer. Only purchases made online are eligible. Miles are shared for $0.01 per mile plus a processing fee of $30 and a tax recovery charge of 7.5%. GST/HST will be charged to Canadian residents. Miles purchased through Buy, Share or Gift Miles do not count towards Dividend Miles Preferred status. All other Dividend Miles Terms and Conditions apply. Miles may be used based on award availability at the time of booking. Please note that Dividend Miles accounts less than 12 days old are not permitted to Buy, Share or Gift miles. All purchases are non-refundable. I must have killed the goose that laid the eggs in 2009, when the share promos were 0.9c each. Angeleno228 Jul 1, 12, 2:43 pm And the cost of the 25K bonus would be 2.27 cents per mile ($567.50) when transfering 50K. No Thanks. The 100% bonus promo would be a better deal at 1.88 cents per mile. Better yet, hope for Grand Slam to come back. dsquared37 Jul 1, 12, 7:12 pm And the cost of the 25K bonus would be 2.27 cents per mile ($567.50) when transfering 50K. No Thanks. The 100% bonus promo would be a better deal at 1.88 cents per mile. Better yet, hope for Grand Slam to come back. I passed on the 100% bonus because I don't have an immediate need for the miles. The share is even less enticing. I'd go to great lengths for the Grand Slam though. :D;) ACC2008 Jul 1, 12, 8:55 pm This is not a good promo in my opinion. USAirways really needs the cash and keeping that in mind even 100% bonus sometimes is not worth it. But this one for sure is not worth it. Hope they will bring the 100% bonus back. Just my two cents. ProfNapalm Jul 2, 12, 7:28 am Me thinks that they are "testing the waters" and slowly decrease the bonuses until they hit rock bottom.. This definitely is one of their worst promos ever cpm wise! travellerK Jul 2, 12, 12:25 pm You should never pay more than .02 per mile. You can always buy miles for .02 without any promo. The way to do this is to buy a refundable ticket. When you buy the ticket, you are given the option to buy extra miles at .02 (only in multiples of the amount you would have gotten for flying, so you need to figure out which ticket to buy to get the amount of miles you want). You can then cancel the ticket and keep the purchase of the extra miles. Incidentally, this works on UA at the same rates the same way. tommyleo Jul 2, 12, 1:26 pm USAirways really needs the cash and keeping that in mind even 100% bonus sometimes is not worth it. But this one for sure is not worth it. I disagree! If US really needed cash (as they did 2-3 years ago), US would give us much more enticing Dividend Miles promos (as they did 2-3 years ago!!!). My take is that these unatractive promos are a direct result of US being in a much better financial position these days. gman78 Jul 2, 12, 7:19 pm hey guys, Just a quick question, and potentially an obvious one. No, you are not! The bonus applies to your FIRST share transaction!! Plus, it is quite expensive and such a bad deal (2100$ for 100K miles), even if you could do it!! ;) gman78 Jul 2, 12, 7:52 pm No, you are not! The bonus applies to your FIRST share transaction!!
